A series of 5 classes that will delve deep into the science and the evidence base of clinical herbal medicine. Intended for students who have previous knowledge of either herbal medicine or western allopathic medicine, or both, and who want to deepen their understanding of herbs and their rational clinical application.
The classes build into a complex and comprehensive portfolio of information that allows you to immediately apply the information in your own life and in very practical ways. Lectures are built around actions and applications and the whole series features over 110 different medicinal plants.
The program emphasizes the core concept of constitution in medicine and explores how the primary qualities of hot, cold, wet and dry, or the primary elements of fire, air, water and earth, show up and play out in our health. We will discuss how to evaluate the body and its imbalances and how to build individualized health protocols. You will taste and smell the herbs, and consider their energetics as well as their chemistries.
With small class sizes and an emphasis on self care and self help, there will be plenty of time for discussion. You will have access to an extensive reference library of books on herbal medicine, plant science, nutrition, aromatherapy, women’s health, natural sciences and shamanic plant spirit medicine
Delicious organic lunches and dinners will be served, created by our accomplished French cook
